This cuvée pays homage to François BRUISSET, Antoine's great-great grandfather, nicknamed Matè because of his legendary strength. It is made from grapes harvested from plots planted in the 1970s by Francis CHEVALLIER, Antoine's grandfather. It has been aged for a long time in vats and oak barrels. The barreling is done in the spring following the harvest and the wine remains in barrels for 10 to 12 months. Then we age this wine for another 9 to 12 months in vats. We do not use new barrels so as not to mark our wines and thus lose the characteristics so typical of Mondeuse. This wine, fruity, spicy, lightly roasted, has elegantly melted tannins. If you like Mondeuse, you will be pleasantly surprised by this cuvée.
