Learn more on Jongieux Rouge - Mondeuse

Mondeuse is a typical Savoyard grape (it is one of the grandparents of Syrah). We cultivate it on 3 hectares in the towns of Jongieux and Billième in Savoy - France. Its clusters are large and the berries are bluish black. This variety produces tannic wines with a crimson red color, robust, rich in aromas of red fruits and spices. As for our other grape varieties, the harvest is manual and the vinification takes place in our cellar. La Mondeuse will go wonderfully with your meats in sauce and all Savoyard dishes. Our advice: for new sensations, try it on raclette or tartiflette instead of traditional white wine!
